I'm still trying to figure out how to play music though the microphone. And, yeah; "put your mic against a speaker" is not the solution I'm looking for

just set your soundinput to Stereomix

Yeah, I couldn't get that to work but then I found a little gem called Virtual Audio Cable

Im running an ipod>audio cable>decent soundcard. The sounds/music are loosless. Seems to work ok. Any tips?
