If i were BiS i would be making as much money out of a product about to be shelved by it's sequel in the sales.... damn witch company wouldn't.
DayZ is delayed and we all have to deal with it, i mean i would love some news as much as the next survivor but i am learning to occupy my mind with other things until some news is released.
I am hoping for some news in the next 7 days about what is going on.....

As sergy says, you misread me When I mention a mechanic in place I mean, something to occupy the bored souls who just like to snipe noobies rather than something to stop them. The same with the KoS ethic of many folk, I dont want anything to stop it, but rather a reason for folk to perhaps not do it.

Does that make sense? I havnt slept a lot so may be a bit vague.

I wouldn't say delayed there was and has never been a release date set in stone, only target deadlines.

Well they said they would support it for time to come (SA) it will develop and evolve as time goes by so there will be lots to look forward to, lots of nuggets with regards to the build.  Then the Mod will be there also with it's diverging path. I only hope My computer is sorted by the release date, I would hate to miss out on the many hours of fun I could be having (So at my rate, it should come out in June!!)

When it comes I do hope they have alimited edition with a laser etched Zombie glass weight, I think there is something to say about physical products.

Yeah you people are pissed because you haven't get some tweets about DayZ in two weeks. In Arma 3 side there wasn't any communication just bit after the E3 (that was 5 months ago) until we got information that they will release brief update in early 2013.
I won't be surprised if the next information about DayZ comes on purpose at the same time as Arma 3's.

Here's the point.  You're seriously overreacting to a simple two weeks worth of silence.  You also overreacted to a signature that's been around for quite a while and to my knowledge no one has bothered to complain about, even the biggest rocket stalkers.  Honestly, why do you think development isn't continuing?  Because people went home for the holidays?  /facepalm

Anyway, I'm not going to let this turn into a flame war.  I understand genuine excitement for a game's release but this isn't my first time to this particular rodeo so I can handle situations like this tiny drop in the bucket-of-time called a couple weeks.  Besides, I have uber helicopters to no scope from or to crash into the ground south of the NE airfield.

Well said. There's an actual game for people to tide them over. It's bizarre the complaints. Anyone want to place bets that when SA comes out they growl that "it's too much like the mod."

Picture the stand alone as an un-fixed vehicle in DayZ, with a survivor scurrying around to fix it. Sure you could take the shot now, but the reward is slim. Allow a short time for it to be fixed up, and you stand to gain a lot more when you take the shot.

I waited eagerly for another project to be done once. Waited two long years until it was finally cancelled. That was a fun day
